Day 1 Mile 713.5 to 731 Death Canyon

Our packs were the heaviest this day with 10 days of food and 4 liters of water since water south of mile 751 was scarce.  In this 17.5 miles we climbed 3300 ft and descended 2300 ft.  We got right next to Olancha peak, but were still in a desert like section f the Seirras.
